Your privacy controls on Saylune, in plain words
30 October 2026
Saylune keeps privacy choices simple and separate. Here is what each one means.
Who sees your profile
In Settings under Privacy, you choose separately for your profile photo, your About text and your online status. For each one you can pick everyone, nobody, or only people you share with. Everyone means signed-in users of Saylune, never the public web.
Who can add you to groups and channels
You decide how people bring you into groups and channels. If you choose everyone, people add you directly. If you choose nobody, people send you an invitation instead, and you accept or ignore it. If you choose only people you share with, they add you directly and everyone else sends an invitation.
What others see in a chat
Read receipts are shared within each conversation, so members of a chat can see when you have read its messages. Messages you delete with Delete for me disappear only from your own account. Delete for everyone works on messages you sent within the first 48 hours and replaces them for all members.
How moderation works
An authorized administrator may review messages and photos for safety, always with a written reason and a review record. Automatic bans are not enabled. If an account is banned, its owner can sign in to see the reason and the remaining time, and can send one private review request every 24 hours.
Messages, photos and voice notes on Saylune are not end-to-end encrypted yet. Please do not share sensitive information.
The full detail lives in the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, linked at the bottom of every page.
